Halima Mohamednur Mohamed

Halima Mohamednur Mohamed serves as the Director of Finance & Administration at ASAL iLab, where she oversees the organization's financial management, administrative operations, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. She plays a key role in ensuring financial accountability, operational efficiency, and sustainable resource management that supports ASAL iLab's mission of empowering communities through innovation, education, and technology.

Halima holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Banking and Finance) from Garissa University and is currently pursuing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification. She combines strong financial expertise with practical experience in accounting, auditing, payroll management, budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Prior to joining ASAL iLab, Halima served as an Accounts Assistant at different companies where she managed financial reporting, payroll processing, statutory compliance, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and audit support. She also gained valuable experience working with Grand Synergy Development Initiative (GSDI), strengthening her expertise in financial management within the non-profit sector.

At ASAL iLab, Halima is responsible for strengthening financial governance, developing effective financial systems, supporting donor compliance, managing organizational budgets, and ensuring transparent stewardship of resources. Her commitment to integrity, accountability, and sound financial management enables the organization to deliver impactful programmes while maintaining the highest standards of financial excellence.

Passionate about building strong institutions, Halima believes that effective financial leadership is fundamental to achieving sustainable development and maximizing social impact. Through her expertise in finance, administration, and organizational management, she contributes to ASAL iLab's long-term growth and its commitment to transforming lives across the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs).
